Note from December 23, 2022, 10:00 AM
In some way, these last few days of preparing for Christmas are “antifragile.” There is a lot to do, there is chaos, but the carefree approach we have adopted, or at least I have, results in very little stress, while at the same time we’ve managed to do everything we were supposed to do. Very strange. But it also gives hope for the future. Soon we’ll have two children demanding attention. Twice as much chaos as before. I was wondering how parents who have even more children manage to keep life together… And where they draw any joy, or will, to have more of them. After all, when there are more, it’s also harder. More worrying. But maybe the key is precisely to worry less. Maybe instead of organization and micromanagement, you have to somehow adapt to chaos and use it. Or maybe I’m talking nonsense about this lack of Christmas stress, because J. took most of the stress on herself. I need to ask her about that.
