2022-12-12 "It has to be okay”
Today, a memory of a conversation from last week that stayed with me pretty strongly. I was at the office and, for the first time in a few months or years (COVID), I met the cleaning lady who always had the afternoon shift, and whom I sometimes saw before leaving. Sometimes we exchanged a few words, and this time it happened too. I told her a bit about how things were with me, proudly shared that my little daughter had been born and that I had another little one on the way, and she told me about her grandchildren. I also said that I was a bit worried about how it would be once we had two children to take care of. And to that, this dear lady replied that "it will be okay, it has to be okay". And somehow the tension and worry left me. Instead, the thought appeared that truly, whatever happens, it will be okay. I have no control over what is beyond me, but there is no way it can be bad as long as I don’t give up.
I need to hold on to that thought even more now, when J. and I are worried that she may have to go to the hospital for Christmas :(
