I haven’t had much time or much of a mood for writing lately, but recently we had a really nice time, and I don’t want to forget it, so soon I’ll definitely write down somehow what’s been going on with us, either as backdated posts (my blog, my rules :P), or as some longer summary.

Meanwhile, here’s what happened today.

The day was packed with events, because in the morning we went to Mass at our old Teofilów parish, first to go to confession, and second because we missed that parish a bit. We went to the family Mass, so I was less stressed that Młoda would bother someone. Anyway, she had a great time, even despite the fact that when she was sitting on my lap at the beginning, I felt warmth and discovered that she had seriously peed herself, soaking both her pants and mine at once. Luckily it was warm enough that she lasted until the end of Mass, because we didn’t have spare pants. We were doubly lucky, because our friends live nearby, and they also have a little daughter, so they were able to lend us a dry pair of pants :)

After Mass we went to my grandparents’ for a grandma-and-grandpa-day lunch and spent a very nice few hours there. Młoda had a great time playing with them, so we had a bit of free time when she wasn’t climbing all over us.

We ended the day with a long-awaited game of Neuroshima Hex. We had already played it on the phone, but some time ago we bought the board game version and I couldn’t wait to try it out. Honestly, I’d wanted to play this game ever since I first saw it, so about 10 years ago, and I never had the chance (apart from playing against AI in the phone version, but that’s not the same). When I recently saw it at a board game party at a friend’s place, I tried to convince J. to play with me, but she wasn’t convinced, which made me lose hope that I would ever play it, because lately I mostly play board games only with her, before bed. In the end, though, after a multiplayer game on the phone, she agreed to buy it, and today my small but very joy-giving dream came true :D
