Fifth work anniversary at Accenture

Today at the office I celebrated my fifth work anniversary at Accenture :) Technically it was a month ago, on December 17, but I was already on vacation then, so I wasn’t at work.

When I started, my team leader at the time was just hitting 5 years at work, and I remember that during a community meeting he was called up to the front and got some award or something like that. Back then we also celebrated promotions with balloons tied to desks, when we came to work, we’d see that someone had a balloon tied to their desk by the girls from reception, and we knew they’d been promoted and that we had to go congratulate them. Unfortunately, after the pandemic those customs disappeared, probably also because most people switched to home office and never came back. I told my wife about it, that I was a bit sad I never got a balloon and never had that kind of party, and J. said that in that case she’d throw me a party herself. Yesterday after my work I took over Młoda, and J. made me a delicious tiramisu cheesecake from the Thermomix :)

My colleagues joked that I’d snatched the cake from some little boy outside a preschool, but the slightly funny inscription didn’t get in the way of a mini party :D
