Headachey date-night shop crawl. Oooh, what a relief!

A short entry, like a page from a diary, so I don’t forget that life also has pleasant moments. Also, because lately putting Młoda to sleep has been torture. I’m already negatively tuned from the start, and J. also has less and less physical and mental strength. During the day, she hasn’t let herself be put down for two days now. At night it usually costs a lot of time and nerves, because Młoda doesn’t have a moment when she simply “crashes”, or at least we haven’t reached it. She has loads of energy the whole time and even in bed she does all kinds of somersaults just to avoid sleeping. Along the way she kicks, scratches, screams and generally gets on your nerves. Understanding our emotions and hers doesn’t help anymore, we’re slowly starting to have enough, although every evening we bravely show up for the task.

But this was supposed to be about pleasant things. Yesterday, putting her to sleep didn’t fall to us, but to J.’s mum, who mercifully gave us an evening out. I had a headache, and ibuprofen didn’t really want to help, which was a minus, but we went on a short date to Grycan, for coffee and cream horns with whipped cream. And then for a raid through the shops. Smyk, Empik, a bookstore, Carrefour, Pepco, Action and a few clothing stores. Normally terribly boring, but that day it was very pleasant, slow wandering around and buying small, though useful things, like a knockoff “Kropelka”, fragrance sticks, a pancake pan, or a new album. Things we’d been thinking would be useful, but somehow couldn’t get ourselves together to buy. We came home with bags full of shopping and a feeling of relief, because all that wandering around felt really nice when nothing was waiting for us anymore, and even the headache disappeared along the way. The date ended with a panini at Żabka. Full-on consumerism. Still, it was really nice.

By the way, I bought these rompers for the Little One at Sinsay, so it’s already decided that regardless of gender, they will be raised as a nerd.
