Letting go. Still difficult bedtime
The last few days have been about learning to let go. And nerves, either way. Learning to let go through being more relaxed during the day and having really nice evenings together, without the very long process of getting Młoda to sleep. We just sit together until late, and when we watch a movie, she watches with us too. For a while she watches, then she goes off to play, and that’s also really nice. The first two nights were still stressful, though. The first one because Młoda didn’t “crash” even very late, she just kept trying to play, even while lying in the dark on the mattress. In the end J. managed to get her to sleep. Yesterday, the same thing. My nerves were already shot after lying there and being kicked. I think that’s what gets me the most, the fact that I can’t do anything. I can’t doze off, because Młoda keeps waking me up every moment, I can’t do anything else, because it’s dark. But I’ll keep trying. J. somehow manages to get her to sleep relatively quickly, around 20 minutes? And for now I’m really happy about the calm family evenings.
